Ship life is fun, but it's not for everyone, you can do as much or as little as you like, there are shows every night, lots of activities during the day. There's always a spa onboard and usually a cinema, lots of bars and eateries.

The best thing for me is sitting on our balcony watching the sea while keeping a look out for seabirds, whales, dolphins and other ships.

I must get my love of the sea from my grandfather, who was a Gunner in the royal navy. He joined up in 1898 aged 14 (he lied about his age) and ended up fighting in the boar war.
